Private landowners play a critical role in providing access to those of us that love recreating and in our case, snowmobiling in the Moosehead Lake Region.
The Moosehead Riders Snowmobile club, annually puts on a turkey dinner with all the fixin’s to show our gratitude and appreciation to the landowners that allow us to access their land for recreational snowmobiling. Join us this Saturday, November 8 for our landowner appreciation turkey dinner at the clubhouse at 6PM. Bring a dessert, your favorite beverage and hear first hand about the ups and downs regarding landowner permission and impact on trail access. But, most importantly it’s our chance to say a big THANK YOU to those landowners that do support our club and snowmobiling in the Moosehead Lake Region.
On the same day, we will be meeting at the Moosehead Riders snowmobile club at 9 AM for a work day. We need help on the following items:
Clean up a blown down tree across from Red’s Saw shop on our trail to steam plant.
We need someone to put up airport and in town signage.
We need help getting the kiosks out to their winter homes.
We need someone to check trails for blow downs.
If you can’t participate on this Saturday work day, but want to help with any of the above items, please let us know. We appreciate all of your support and are grateful for the landowners that have given our club permission to snowmobile on their land. We hope to see you this Saturday!
