The Moosehead Riders Snowmobile Club maintains 75 miles of ITS trails and 60 miles of club trails with two commercial grade groomers, 2 snowmobiles with drags and a Jeep Cherokee on tracks with drag.
Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a week long adventure, enjoying snowmobiling fun with friends in the Moosehead Lake area is one activity to add to your calendar for the winter.
Many hands, make light work. In order for our trails to be ready for winter riders, we spend months in the off season preparing the trails to ready them for winter snowmobilers. We couldn’t groom trails effectively without the hard work that our volunteer trail work crew puts in.
Wildlife in the North Maine Woods is a common occurrence when riding in the Moosehead Lake Region. There are many areas with large deer yards and you may even see a moose. Ride safe and watch out for wildlife along the trails.
